Monstera adansonii, also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, is a tropical plant that is native to Central and South America and has been cultivated as a houseplant. The Monstera adansonii is recognized by its petite, perforated leaves. This plant also has a lovely trailing growth habit. The adansonii is great for hanging baskets, draping off shelves, or training to grow around a room.
Care: Easy
Light: Performs best in medium to bright, indirect light.
Water: Allow the soil to dry 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down, before watering thoroughly. Water until excess water flows from the container’s drainage hole. Do not allow your plant to sit in standing water or soggy soil. Signs of overwatering can include black stems or yellowing leaves.
Humidity: Does well in environments with average to high humidity.
Fertilize: Once a month during the spring and summer months with a diluted, well-balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
Pets: Causes digestive distress if ingested.
